Matt Grothe threw 3 TD's with 236 yards, leading South Florida to a 41-14 blowout. Grothe lit up Memphis' secondary, but also ran for 82 yards. Grothe moved ahead of West Virginia's Pat White as the Big East's career total offense leader. South Florida totaled 496, with 232 yards rushing. The Bulls went 7-13 on 3rd down attempts, controlling the ball for 34:44.
Memphis' Quarterback Arkelon Hall threw for 154 yards and 1 TD. Besides Hall, there was nobody else for Memphis who decided to show up for the game. Memphis could only manage 66 yards on the ground against the Bulls' defense.
