Wake Forest Completes The Rally

What a great start to Bowl Mania as Wake Forest pulls of a big rally to top the Midshipmen.

Trailing by 13, Riley Skinner decided it was his time to shine. Navy couldn't contain Skinner and the Wake offense. Skinner threw for 166 yards, 1 TD and had a 100% accuracy as he went 11-11. Wake took the lead in the 3rd quarter on a Josh Adams 5 yard run, his 2nd TD on the day. Navy came back and took a 19-14 lead on a Kaheaku-Enhada 2 yard scramble.

In the 4th quarter, Riley Skinner found TE Ben Wooster for an 8 yard strike to take the lead. Navy needed a late drive to tie or take the lead. The Midshipmen were cut down on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down by Wake's stout defense. On 4th down, Wake forced Kaheaku-Enhada to scramble away, before being hit from behind and coughing up the ball. Wake added another TD on a 35 yard rush by FB Rich Belton.

Navy has now lost 3 straight bowl games, all of which were very close throughout the game. After the game, Riley Skinner was announced the MVP.
